Rapper Missy Elliott has not issued any albums for almost ten years. Now it seems as if some new material could soon see the light of day.
Her longtime collaborator, producer Timbaland, tells Rolling Stone that an album is in the works.
– It’s just a question of when she wants to do it, he says.
When asked how the new material sounds, Timbaland responded:
– It’s something you never heard Missy do. It sounds like today, though, the future.
Missy Elliott debuted with “Supa dupa fly” in 1997. Since then she has made five CDs including the latest, “The Cookbook,” released in 2005.
